Dr. Narendra Babu

Senior Embryologist

Qualification: Dr. Narendra Babu Karuputhla received his PhD in Reproductive Medicine at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India (2007-2011), and Master of Biochemistry (2001) at the Periyar University. His PhD thesis work was on “Role of Reactive Oxygen Species in Female Infertility and Its Association with Assisted Reproductive Techniques”. He served as a Postdoctoral Sr. Research Associate in the Computational Core for Metabolomics, at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad for 2 years (2012 -2013).

Professional Details: After his academics he took up a position as a Lab Manager and Clinical Embryologist at Bmom Fertility and Research Centre, Bangalore, then Scientific Head at Gunasheela IVF Centre, Bangalore and also was a Scientific Head and Embryologist at Apollo Fertility Bangalore before joining to Medicover Fertility India. He has more than a decade of experience working with both animal embryology and in human clinical embryology and has undergone training in reproductive medicine and ART related programmes at various national and international institutions. His research work has been published/presented in different reproductive medicine related international journals/proceedings. Currently, he is a reviewer for three international UK and US journals in the field of Reproductive Medicine and Chemistry.
